Lilly Pulitzer for the Home

Lilly Pulitzer

Happy Labor Day and first day of September. September here in South Florida means that temperatures have finally dipped down into the eighties. A gorgeous day here today.

In Search of

Greenwich Polo Club

Anyone have any ideas on where this pink and green gingham sundress is from? I love it as well as the raffia striped bag and straw sunhat. I think the bag is Marni. And yes I have already Google reverse image searched the dress with no luck.

"Vintage" Lilly

Ariella Linen Maxi Dress

I love Lilly Pulitzer that has a vintage Lilly vibe. This dress has that feel. Here below is Lilly at her first store.

Pink Hydrangeas

Sabrina Top in Pink Hydrangea

Frances Valentine specializes in sourcing vintage prints, most often floral, that I absolutely love. This pink hydrangea print is a new addition to their Spring collection.

Pink & Green

Amanda Lindroth

This is such an interesting vignette in this Amanda Lindroth living room. A two-tiered antique chandelier hangs above a table draped with a custom awning-striped cloth and encircled by a set of Biedermeier chairs.

The Chinoiserie Wet Bar

Mary Beth Wagner Interiors

Isn't this the most beautiful wet bar? The wallcovering is a custom colorway in Gracie Studio's French Deco. I love the gorgeous marble counters and brass hardware. The brass and glass bar is stunning.

A Pickle

Blue Chinoiserie Pickleball Paddle

So, if you buy a pickleball paddle, do you have to start playing pickleball? Asking for a friend....

Pink & Green Palm Beach Style

Kim Seybert

Blue and white is of course a classic in a beach house, but the addition of pink and green is very Palm Beach. This wonderful table setting has lots of inspiration for setting a fabulous Spring/Summer table.

Pink & Green

Alessandra Branca

I definitely love pink and green as much as I do blue and white. And not surprisingly, these are the four colors that fill my home and my closet. The wallcovering is de Gournay. My home in Alexandria was filled with striped silk taffeta curtains like these.

A Pink and Green Church

St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig, Germany

I bet you have never seen a church in blush pink and mint green with enormous palm trees to the ceiling, and would have assumed this is in Palm Beach or Bermuda, and not Germany. This is too beautiful not to share. The color palette of soft pink and green and the palm trees and the black and white floor are certainly unexpected in a church, but wonderful inspiration.

The Chinoiserie Bedroom

Mario Buatta

This bedroom is such perfection - a palette of pink and green, a canopy bed, Gracie chinoiserie wallpaper, a faux bamboo bench, a pink ceiling, a slipper chair, beautiful linens, and sconces. Look at the detailing on the canopy bed - silver leaf detailing, wooden tassels, a gorgeous pink canopy crown, and the canopy top wrapped in raffia.

The bed was designed by Buatta. This NYC duplex was his final project.

The Foyer @ CCC

CCC

I love my foyer - double French doors and a transom and high ceilings let in tons of natural light. A black and gold antique Chinese chest, a brass and black marble console table, and blue and white Chinese porcelain are from my Alexandria home. They combine with Florida touches like palms and seashells and a new Dana Gibson faux bamboo oversized Chinese lantern. The color palette introduces the colors in the rest of my home - blue and white with pink and green and lots of gold.

Palm Beach/Palm Springs

Colony Palm Beach

A beautiful vignette featuring de Gournay Colony wallpaper created for the hotel, a fabulous wicker chair in mint green, and an elephant desk. I love the monkey. And below another Slim Aarons I am using at CCC. He was Palm Springs and environs as opposed to Palm Beach, but a perfect aesthetic for my home.

More Chinoiserie Kitchen

Colleen Bashaw - House Beautiful

Another look at the kitchen from yesterday's post, I wanted to point out the chinoiserie wallpaper flanking the range. I also LOVE the Frances Elkins style loop counter stools at the island. The palette here is exactly that of mine in my home - soft gray, white, pink, green, and blue and white.

And greetings from Champa Bay!

A Unique Kitchen

House Beautiful UK

Pink and green is the ultimate preppy and Palm Beach color palette and it pairs exquisitely with blue and white Chinese porcelain. But a pink and green kitchen? It works for me. I love the dark green cabinets, the pink  hexagonal tiles, the marble counters, and brass faucet, pulls, and sconces. What is the story with the missing tiles at the ceiling level. I assume it is to accentuate the shape of the tiles, but it bugs me.

Palm Trees Indoors

Amanda Lindroth

In this fanciful tropical bedroom, Amanda Lindroth combines many of my favorite things. Wicker and rattan is in abundance - they will continue to be huge trends in 2021 - especially designer versions of these wonderful natural elements. The rattan canopy bed is fantastic and I am a sucker for canopy beds. I always wanted one as a child and my parents refused in their ultra modern mid century home. Note the wicker pagodas and rattan breakfast tray.

Other favorite elements include the palette of pink and green, orchids, seashells, and stripes.

I like her use of faux canvas palm trees mixed with real palm trees. I have an extra blue and white Chinese fish bowl and I love the look of a live palm in a fish bowl topped with moss. Which palm species have you all had good luck with indoors? I think I will venture out to Home Depot and Lowe's today as I am also looking for camellias.

Palm Beach Chinoiserie

The Colony Hotel Palm Beach - Celerie Kemble

Check out this pagoda fireplace and the flamingo wallpaper. The pink and green palette is so preppy and Palm Beach. I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday.

The Wine Fridge

Decorpad

In my current house there is a wet bar under the double staircase with a wine fridge. I really like having all the whites, pinks, and sparkling wines pre-chilled and not taking up space in the refrigerator. There is no wine fridge in my new home but there is a perfect spot for one in an existing cabinet just to the right of the refrigerator.

Have any of you installed an under counter wine fridge in your kitchen in a cabinet? It seems like an easy job for my handyman. Take off the doors and cut out to measure. There is an outlet on that wall he just needs to drop. I can use the upper cabinets for wine glasses. Any tips on installation, brands, etc. would be great. Here is a photo of the spot I am talking about.

Just to the right of the refrigerator

And that ceiling fan is going away. It looks bizarre in the kitchen. I was going to Lowe's today to pick up that Harbor Breeze palm ceiling fan for my lanai. I should have gotten it before my post. After I posted on it, the post got a ton of hits and the fan sold out at every Lowe's and online. Hopefully they will restock. Lesson learned. Buy first, post second. LOL

And thanks for the great cocktail suggestions yesterday. They were fantastic. I am making a Total Wine run today and will get the needed ingredients. This will be fun!!!! Here is one I can't wait to try - the Pink Flamingo with rum, fresh lime juice, and pink grapefruit soda. And it's pink and green.
