I found some wicker for the kitchen or pantry that are so old school, attractive, and functional! These are traditional baskets designed for storing onions, but you could also use them for potatoes, apples and other fresh produce. I posted before on this Palm Beach home because I was fascinated by the ginger jars in front - four of them if you look closely. I'm sure they bring them in for hurricanes though! I do love this home. I am planning to redo my driveway at some point and love this with the pavers and grass in between, but I don't think this would fly with my HOA.

This is a favorite summer meal of mine - steamed lobster, corn, mussels, steamers, and potatoes and the table set with bamboo flatware, raffia placemats, a faux bamboo cachepot filled with hydrangeas, wicker wrapped glassware, monogrammed blue and white striped napkins, and folding bamboo chairs.

I would call this color celadon although it could also be called a pale pistachio or a soft mint. I find it so calming. It would be stunning at CCC with my aquarium window looking out onto palm trees and preserves.

This Bahamian kitchen featured in the new Veranda is quite fabulous. The wallpaper is de Gournay's Amazonia in turquoise. Note the pink La Cornue range. The wallpaper above the range is protected by a plexiglass panel. I love the wicker stools and lighting fixture (Soane Britain). This is a white kitchen that certainly doesn't feel sterile!

My kitchen island is arriving in a few hours and I am quite excited. I have been thinking about how I will style it and was looking at some kitchens I have posted about for inspiration. Unfortunately, the vast majority are clearly staged just for the photo shoot. As you will see below, I will not be daily slicing bread, watermelon, buying a cart full of lemons, limes, apples, plantains, artichokes, or in the case of one photo below, the entire produce department.

Exciting news - my new induction range is in and will be delivered and installed next Thursday. And despite being told that my Bosch dishwasher would be 9 to 12 months, it should be here in 2 weeks. Great progress/so exciting. I love when a plan comes together.
