Blue and white Chinese porcelain planters are a wonderful way to turn ordinary potted orchids into stunning displays for a centerpiece, coffee table, entryway table, or sideboard. I posted this picture last year in a piece about decorating with seashells for Christmas. These vintage seashell planters with hollies decorated the back porch of this Shelter Island, New York home of interior designer Alfredo Parades for the holidays. Vintage seashell decor has become highly collectable and very pricey. I have always loved seashells and now I live in one of the best areas in the world for collecting them.

I love the pair of fiddle leaf figs in the orange boxes. So fun. I love plants in containers and am always on the lookout for planters. I found some Chinese Chippendale planters in white, orange, and black that are for use indoors or outside. They can be used with potted plants and also come with an optional insert so you can plant flowers directly in the planter.

These are great for annuals, tropicals, topiaries, or house plants and would also be perfect for faux plants. Made of polypropylene, these are maintenance free.

 I have shared this one before, but it is always so popular that it bears repeating. Get a pair of these fantastic and cheap Chinese Chippendale planters at Home Depot available in both 14" and 18." Spray paint them orange - I like Rustoleum Orange Gloss. Use them indoors with a pair of fiddle leaf fig trees, palms, or ficus, or outdoors with mums or boxwoods. This is fall decorating with Chinoiserie Chic style.
