Cast Iron Pumpkin Cocotte High/Low

Williams Sonoma

The Staub cast iron pumpkin cocotte or dutch oven has become a kitchen and especially fall classic. Many people leave theirs on their range as part of fall decor. And it so wonderful for making and serving fall stews and soups.

Great Finds - Mini Pumpkin Cocotte

Staub Mini Pumpkin Cocotte

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days start today for prime members. One of my favorite picks is these Staub Mini Pumpkin Cocottes at 56% off. Oven to table, perfect for individually sized cobblers, gratins, pot pies, or use them for soup, chili, candles, or candies. This is a mini version of Staub's iconic pumpkin cocotte in stoneware. I would set the Thanksgiving table with these and serve a wonderful homemade soup in them like butternut squash.

Staub and Le Creuset

Le Creuset Pumpkin in Sea Salt

The iconic Staub Pumpkin Cocotte was originally available in orange, and then black and white were added. I just saw that Le Creuset has now come out with its own version in a range of colors to match your kitchen and your collection of cast iron cookware.

I'm Dreaming of a White Halloween

The Potted Boxwood

I am not a huge fan of orange pumpkins for fall and Halloween decorating. I much prefer the peach Cinderella pumpkins, blue Australian pumpkins, and white pumpkins. I am thinking of using white ones at CCC this year. I love the inspiration above. I too have a white house and love this look. And don't miss the pair of skeletons in the planters next to the door. I have a pair of mermaid skeletons I got last year that I will use in my blue and white Chinese fishbowls with topiaries flanking my front door. I think the white pumpkins will work much better with all my blue and white Chinese porcelain at my front entrance too.

Black Pumpkin Dutch Oven High/Low

Staub Black Pumpkin Cocotte

September is here and my thoughts are turning to all things pumpkin (except pumpkin spice). This 3.5 quart Staub pumpkin cocotte (dutch oven) is such a gorgeous addition to your kitchen - many people leave it on their range all year long.

The Christmas Simmer Pot

Food and Wine

Having just celebrated the winter solstice and with Christmas this weekend, the timing could not be more perfect to make a Christmas simmer pot. I like mine to be as beautiful to look at as it is to smell, so I like to use a sliced lemon, orange, apple, fresh cranberries, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and fresh sprigs of rosemary.

Staub Pumpkins in the Kitchen

Staub Pumpkin Cocottes

A great kitchen is something we all love, but it doesn't stop with cabinets, appliances, and counters. Both highly functional and very beautiful, Le Creuset cast iron cookware and Staub cast iron cookware (especially their pumpkin cocottes) have become even more sought after of late.

Stunning Staub

Staub Cocottes

I was aware of the gorgeous Staub pumpkin cocottes, but you may not know about all the rest of these beauties. These cast iron dutch ovens are perfect as the weather cools and our thoughts turn to cooking heartier dishes. Wonderful for slow cooking soups, chili, stews, pot roast, and for braising.

Decorating & a Recipe for Fall & Halloween

Staub Orange Pumpkin Cocotte

Now that fall is in the air, wait, this is South Florida, the only thing that's ever in the air is endless summer. Now that September is here, my thoughts turn to decorating for fall and Halloween.
