I have been finalizing my exterior painting plans and will return this week to making progress on my kitchen appliance upgrade and will share my research.
I have been noticing how in so many kitchen photo shoots they have a Le Creuset or Staub cocotte on the range. I have two white pumpkin cocottes and plan to steal this idea above. I love it.
This is amazing, but my HomeGoods has started selling some Staub as well as Le Creuset. Between HomeGoods and a wonderful Le Creuset outlet store nearby, I have been finding some great cookware.
It is so beautiful, I really hate to hide it all in cabinets. I have two pantries, but one has already been converted to a blue and white chinoiserie cabinet. Check out this Le Creuset display - stunning.

I don't have open shelving, so I am playing around with other some ideas. One idea is adding a kitchen island with open shelving below - something along these lines.
Do any of you keep your Le Creuset or Staub on display?
I have a 6-tiered metal stand I bought years ago that now holds my Le Creuset and Staub dutch ovens. I had originally bought it for my copper pots and pans, but they're now hanging in my kitchen for easier access.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea, but I have tons of space in the center of the room, but not wall space.
DeleteI don't have any Le Crueset but if I did, I'd get the original flame-style dutch oven. I like the spring green color, though
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great colors - they have lots.
DeleteTake the upper cabinet doors and hinges off, paint the inside a color and add decorative corner brackets. A source I always use is Architectural Depot. Another choice is to have glass doors replace the old ones.
ReplyDeleteThey are too large for my upper cabinets. It's a great idea though.
DeleteThank you for sharing your research! We are planning our changes and thought of adding lowers on the other side of the butlers pantry, removing a storage closet to display our Le Creuset. Love the Caribbean Blue here in Florida!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great. I wish I had another closet but I already converted one for my blue and white.
DeleteYes, I display my Flame LeCreuset on my stove top daily along with matching teakettle. ❤
ReplyDeleteI plan to keep my white pumpkins on the stove. I like having a piece or two on the range.
DeleteI know that open shelving and the absence of upper cabinets is very fashionable now, but I don't think it would be for me. I don't like to look at clutter, and the dust and grease from cooking would just mean more cleaning for me, but that's just my personal preference.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. Not for me.
DeleteI love the kitchen islands, though.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteLove that island! Beautiful and very practical.

It's a great piece.
DeleteI have a Le Creuset orange pumpkin that I keep out only in the fall. I was lucky to find a Staub white pumpkin that I now leave out all year. The kitchen island is a substantial piece and is beautiful. Thank you for all the inspiration in your posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The white Staub pumpkin is such a classic.
DeleteBeth, would you have a source for the faux bamboo/rattan fixture above the island? Best, MVB
ReplyDeleteI believe it to be the Palm Beach Lantern. Google that and you will get many sources.
