Leopard is a hot trend for this fall and winter. I love leopard, but it is a look that IMHO one needs to approach in an understated and elegant way. I posted recently on leopard calf hair accessories that I love. See that post here. When it comes to clothing, I stay as far away from sexy and slinky in leopard as I can. I keep it classic. Here are some great examples of leopard with style that keep it very classy. Think Audrey Hepburn in her leopard hat in Charade.

Ladylike Trend for Fall - Leopard Calf Hair

One of my favorite ways to accessorize the "ladylike" look that is so on point this fall is with leopard accessories in calf hair. My very first Kate Spade handbag about 25 years ago was a leopard calf hair bag and it is still one of my favorites. And it is stuffed with the original tissue paper and dust bag! It is lined in red wool - so chic.

I have the matching slingback pumps too. I have rounded up some wonderful leopard calf hair accessories at many price points. The key to wearing leopard and looking like The Swans as opposed to sleazy is wearing one piece of leopard and I personally prefer accessories.

 I love animal print and especially leopard in my home and in my wardrobe, but there are few things that can go south faster if not used with a sophisticated and light hand. Less is definitely more. Mixing and matching animal print is a no-no as is wearing it head to toe. Done right, it is an elegant and timeless choice.

 Leopard and chinoiserie are an absolutely wonderful pairing. I have several leopard pieces sprinkled throughout by home and many in my closet. Animal print looks especially good in the fall.

 This Miles Redd room is from many years back when he was first on everyone's radar screen. It was even pre his ruffled curtain fixation - LOL. I love emerald green silk curtains - I miss mine that were in my previous dining room. I can't tell if these have trim or a very small ruffle, but they are very pretty. I love the Chinese Chippendale chairs, leopard cushions, Chinoiserie wallpaper, and a vintage suzani used as a tablecloth. A lovely room.

I have been looking for a blue and white tablecloth for my breakfast room Platner table to use on and off. A vintage blue and white suzani would be perfect if I can find one in the right size. I'll see what I can find.
