Office Nook

Nick Olsen - Architectural Digest
A blue and white Chinese lamp by Vaughan pops in this little office nook. The foliage Zoffany wallpaper and pale blue ceiling give it a garden vibe. The traditional chair has been updated with white paint and a red leather seat. I love the lacquered green door.

A Fun Chinoiserie Mix

Coastal Living
Yesterday I posted on a beautiful red, white, and blue dining room by Christopher Maya. Here is another red, white, and blue space with a super fun vibe. It showcases one of my favorite Chinoiserie wallpapers, Osborne & Little's iconic Summer Palace.

Iconic pieces abound in this space. An orangey red is used on the classic barrel chairs, Moroccan pouf, and zig zag rug. Mid century modern pieces are in the mix including Bertoia chairs and a Saarinen tulip table. An iMac, of course.

Osborne & Little's Summer Palace
Not from this room, but look what Palmer Weiss has done with this Bertoia chair - a cushion with Greek key trim.

Th bottom line is that Chinoiserie works with everything!

iMac - A Thing of Beauty

Tomorrow I am off to the Apple store to replace my old iMac with, of course, a new iMac. I thought it would be fun to see some chic work spaces with this stylish and iconic computer. We start with the chicest office of them all belonging to J.Crew's Jenna Lyons. Note how many of these spaces have Chinoiserie - Chinese Chippendale chairs, pagoda lamps, gourd lamps, Chinese screens - Apple and Chinoiserie are a great combination. Accessorize with fresh flowers, a Baies candle, and a sheepskin draped over your desk chair.

To me the iMac is the most beautiful computer in the world, inside and out.
