CCC

Happy Halloween from Casa Chinoiserie Chic. The house and the pups are all ready. I love my alligator skeletons and mermaid skeletons - Halloween Florida style.

A Fun Chinoiserie Mix

Coastal Living
Yesterday I posted on a beautiful red, white, and blue dining room by Christopher Maya. Here is another red, white, and blue space with a super fun vibe. It showcases one of my favorite Chinoiserie wallpapers, Osborne & Little's iconic Summer Palace.

Iconic pieces abound in this space. An orangey red is used on the classic barrel chairs, Moroccan pouf, and zig zag rug. Mid century modern pieces are in the mix including Bertoia chairs and a Saarinen tulip table. An iMac, of course.

Osborne & Little's Summer Palace
Not from this room, but look what Palmer Weiss has done with this Bertoia chair - a cushion with Greek key trim.

Th bottom line is that Chinoiserie works with everything!

Readers' Requests Series - Coastal Chinoiserie

I am returning to my readers' requests series after being so busy with the One Room Challenge, new sponsors, and new clients. Happy busy. Several followers asked for a post on Coastal Chinoiserie. My vision of this is lots of blue and white, coral pink, stripes, blue and white Chinese porcelain, Chinese Chippendale chairs, wood floors, and sisal rugs. Here is a little mini gallery, but you must pop over to my new Pinterest board Coastal Chinoiserie to see many more great examples. My boards on Blue and White Chinoiserie and Stripes and Chinoiserie are also great sources. Follow me on Pinterest here.

Barry Dixon Beach Chinoiserie

Barry Dixon created this exquisite living room-my favorite for a beach house-using Quadrille Paradise Background in Turquoise for pillows and draperies. I love the palette of pale aqua and turquoise that extends into the kitchen. The daybed is a wonderful choice-it works for an extra guest and is such a chic look.
