Gorgeous Ginger Jars

Legend Accents Vintage Dragon Temple Jar

This stunning blue and white ginger jar is an impressive 24" tall. I have several Legend Accents' pieces and they are beautiful and look so antique. This is such a classic with its dragon, flaming pearl, and Greek key design. I love the foo dog finial.

The Blue and White Dining Room

Kaitlin Smith Interiors

A classic chinoiserie dining room. The fabric is Quadrille's China Seas Seya, a tropical design often used in beach houses. Chinoiserie elements include the navy blue Chinese Chippendale chairs, the navy blue faux bamboo sideboard, the gold faux bamboo frame on the coral art, and the foo dog lamp. I have the same seashell encased hurricanes I got from HomeGoods.

Staging with Chinoiserie

freshome
I am in the midst of staging a large home in Georgia that is about to go on the market and starting to stage my own home to sell and came across this wonderful kitchen staged with lots of blue and white Chinoiserie - ginger jars, a foo dog, a blue and white Chinoiserie panel, and a blue and white Chinese cachepot. Lot of inspiration here for your own home.

Modern Masculine Chinoiserie

David Jimenez

I love this sophisticated and elegant layered space by David Jimenez. It is a masculine approach with charcoal walls and drapes, a black and white zigzag rug, an oversized ginger jar, and a turquoise blue foo dog. I especially like the black and white photograph layered in front of the mirror and the curved stools. Note how the foo dog is sitting on a brass pedestal and the scale of the lamp and ginger jar.

The Chinoiserie Dressing Room

Jewelry Designer Stephanie Lake
I am an absolute sucker for a beautiful dressing room and this is absolutely killer. Can you find the Chinoiserie touches? They include a Chinese Chippendale mirror, a turquoise foo dog, a turquoise Chinese man figurine, a turquoise lacquer box, a blue and white Chinese porcelain vase used as a container, a Chinese wooden stand, and my favorite, a dragon above the window. Speaking of the window, check out the gorgeous silk taffeta window treatment all corseted up like a ball gown. I adore the dark walls and the pale blue leather slipper chair, vanity, and vanity chair. The modern rug in purple, orange, and white is a fabulous and unexpected touch. A touch of leopard, of course. Quite a Mary McDonald vibe here. Thanks so much for the head's up from Ellen of Color Calling that this is the vanity of jewelry designer Stephanie Lake featured in Decorati.
