Playing Christmas Music

Tidbit Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

I am hosting a Christmas party at my clubhouse tomorrow night and of course want to play Christmas music. I have Sirius XM and they have a ton of channels with holiday music. Many of you may have Spotify or Pandora.

Holiday Entertaining Tip

Boursin with Black Truffle & Sea Salt

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the original Boursin cheese with Garlic and Fine Herbs. Boursin cheese is a gourmet French cheese brand that is named after its cheesemaker, François Boursin. It is from the Normandy region of France and dates back to 1957. The cheese met with tremendous success and has been popular ever since.

They have expanded their offerings with several varieties. Recently they came out with this limited edition truffled version. I had guests over Saturday evening and served it as an hors d'oeuvre.

Harper

Pink for the Holiday Table

Shelley Johnstone - Flower Magazine

This beautiful holiday table setting in the breakfast nook of interior designer Shelley Johnstone's home got me thinking about ways to add pink to my own holiday tabletop. I love all things pink and a deep pink is a great alternative to red for Christmas decorating. Here are some pretty ideas.

A Chinoiserie Christmas with Southern Style

Southern Living Holiday Chinoiserie Topiary Kitchen Towel

A perfect way to add some chinoiserie charm to your kitchen for the holidays is beautiful kitchen towels. I have towel bars at the ends of my new marble kitchen island and these would be great.

A Christmas Cocktail

Town & Country

Rosemary plants are for sale everywhere at the holidays (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.). I have one in my kitchen window and love using it for cooking and for the smell. And one of the best cocktails ever uses fresh rosemary. It is perfect for holiday hosting.

Holiday Hosting

Classic Colorblock Maxi Dress Pink

When I was growing up and my parents were throwing a holiday party, my mother always dressed the two of us in matching maxi "hostess" dresses. This is still my favorite look when I am hosting for the holidays - a long, comfortable, not too dressy maxi or midi dress in holiday colors. Here are some great choices with some accessories too.
