Classic Chinoiserie

CCC

My favorite piece of furniture at CCC is probably my black and gold antique Chinese chest I got long ago at Neiman Marcus.

I have used it in previous homes in my living room, dining room, and now in my foyer. Since I live in a beach house in South Florida, I have styled it with sea fans and seashells. The sea fans are in a vintage wicker Kate Spade handbag.

Sea Fans

CCC

I often mention how much I love decorating with seashells and I know many of you do as well. Sea fans are a wonderful choice too. Sea fans are a variety of coral. They add a vertical dimension without taking up space because they are so thin.

I have a collection of sea fans in a vintage Kate Spade wicker bag. This is in my foyer and it sets the tone for CCC with a vintage black and gold chinoiserie chest, vintage blue and white ginger jars, framed botanicals, and a collection of conch shells.

Blue and White

Ellen Kavanaugh - Southern Home

Lots of great inspiration here for styling a console with blue and white, chinoiserie, Palm Beach, tropical, island style. Palm fronds from the garden make beautiful floral arrangements in blue and white Chinese vases. A pair of large ginger jars adds drama. I saw birds like these at HomeGoods last week.

I especially like the sea fans in the wicker handbag. I got a beautiful collection of sea fans at HomeGoods yesterday and this is a fun idea for displaying them - I have a large collection of wicker handbags that would be perfect. Many of my wicker handbags are vintage Kate Spade that I love.
