My favorite piece of furniture at CCC is probably my black and gold antique Chinese chest I got long ago at Neiman Marcus.
I have used it in previous homes in my living room, dining room, and now in my foyer. Since I live in a beach house in South Florida, I have styled it with sea fans and seashells. The sea fans are in a vintage wicker Kate Spade handbag.

The black and gold Chinese chest is such a classic chinoiserie piece for your home. It is wonderful with blue and white Chinese porcelain. Here are other examples I love. I also love it with the Louis Philippe mirror.

ReplyDeleteI'm anxious to hear if you have any further updates on your alligator friend who visited you yesterday. That was just too wild! I'm aware that you all have "gator getters" in Florida that will remove them if they pose a threat.
I'm saving to buy a beautiful chinoiserie chest of drawers from a store here in Victoria. I'll style it with some of my Chinese porcelain, a double gourd lamp, some books and a couple of beautiful porcelain birds.
