Chinoiserie in a Loft?

It should be perfectly obvious to followers of Chinoiserie Chic that Chinoiserie works beautifully with any style of interior design in any type of home. Here is another wonderful example. Fashion designer Erin Fetherston's NYC Tribeca loft-the bedroom with its Chinoiserie screen and pair of Chinoiserie lamps. See the entire amazing apartment here.

Saturday Inspiration
This wonderful Chinoiserie bedroom is by Betsy Burnham, yesterday's featured interior designer. Using a Chinoiserie screen behind a bed is a favorite trick of mine. It creates a focal point for the room, it mimics the look of high end wallpaper like de Gournay or Gracie, and unlike wallpaper, it is fully portable if you are a renter or may move.
