I used to avoid using red for holiday decorating, thinking it did not work well with my Florida color palette of blue, white, pink, and coral at CCC. Boy was I wrong. Last year I started introducing red Christmas decorations and I went all in this year and love it. The picture above is a great example of how well red and white works with blue and white for Christmas.

My kitchen island at Christmas displays some of my collection of Juliska's Reindeer Games. I love this china - it comes in small plates, bowls, and cocktail napkins. I use it for serving dessert, hot chocolate, and Irish coffee or soup and nibbles.

There is no interior designer whose work I admire more than Alessandra Branca. This rather petite guest bedroom is quite grand with its red and white Chinoiserie toile wallpaper and shade, red and white striped bedding, dark stained wood floors, and red upholstered sleigh bed. The bedside desk can do quadruple duty as a bedside table, desk, dresser, and dressing table. But the detailing is what knocks my socks off - the walls and even the window are edged in black, as are the duvet, the back of the chair and even the ends of the neckroll.
