September arrives this coming Tuesday and I for one am very excited. I love decorating for fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. My plans are already underway.

I am not the biggest fan of orange for fall decor, and I'll bet many of you agree. I can't stand traditional orange pumpkins, for example. But today with all the fabulous heirloom pumpkins, there are pumpkins in white, celadon, and blue - very Chinoiserie Chic!

Every year at this time, Target puts out darling wicker pumpkins. They are perfect for fall and Halloween decorating - for the tabletop, sideboard, mantel, counters, bookshelves and more. They could be used outdoors in a covered entryway. They are available in an array of colors and sizes and start at $5. Mix and match these with blue and white Chinese porcelain for a chinoiserie autumn display.

With my Halloween decorations now gone, the front entrance looks a bit bare. And it is too early to start Christmas decorating.
