I am fine, but crazy weather here - yesterday it looked like the tropical weather - either a tropical depression or a tropical storm or a hurricane was headed here to Sarasota. Now this morning the center has shifted west and it will most likely hit in the Big Bend area far north as an even stronger storm and likely a hurricane. Then perhaps headed to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Very unpredictable Florida weather this time of year - not for the faint of heart. It is a strange reality - the weather is gorgeous here almost every day of the year, but there are a few days that are stressful. A trade-off like most things in life.

Pearls, palms, and raffia in pink and green! Talk about my style to a tee. Did you ever wonder where the phrase "to a tee" comes from? It of course means that something is perfect just the way it is.

Its origin is unknown but it has been around since the 1500s. The phrase "to a T" was used in a play by Francis Beaumont called The Woman Hater in 1607. But it was widely used before that. It is likely a shortened version of an Old English expression "to a tittle" and should really be spelled "to a T."

I mentioned on my one year house anniversary post last week some upcoming changes on Chinoiserie Chic. Here is the first. 

I love fashion as much as I do interior design. Whenever I post on my closet, I get comments asking for more info on my wardrobe. So since I post seven days a week, I have decided there is room to add some fashion, beauty, and entertaining posts. CC will still be primarily interior design, but we are mixing it up a bit.
