Here is wonderful inspiration for setting your holiday table with Chinoiserie Chic style. In the first two, blue and white Chinese porcelain mixes seamlessly with traditional red and green. BTW, places like Home Depot and Lowe's are great to find rosemary and ivy live tabletop topiaries. My Publix all have beautiful little rosemary topiaries. HomeGoods are good sources for faux and preserved versions.

Here is a wonderful idea for Christmas decorating. A bountiful garland of magnolia mixed with Leland cypress ascends a staircase. Instead of ribbon, floral and interiors designer Mark Thompson secured the greenery to the newel post and banister with glossy Samuel & Sons silk double-tassel tiebacks, knotted into shoestring-like bows, for a festive decorative finish.

Red and green is not a color combination I would think of outside of Christmas decorating, but I am quite drawn to this foyer with its green walls and sisal runner bound in red. I am not into the art personally, hate the cords on the sconces, and am not a fan of side tables used as a coffee table. But I do like the color palette - very Alessandra Branca.

Christmas Inspiration

I don't think I enjoy anything more than I do decorating for the holidays. I spent Black Friday in my house with my dogs listening to my favorite Christmas songs and beginning my Christmas decorating.

This year I am doing three large trees - one in my living room, one in the dining room, and one in the family room.
