There are few things that bring me as much joy as having a home that I love. And part of that is maintaining it which requires great cleaning products. All my appliances are new and stainless steel and claim to be fingerprint free and to require just a dampened cloth to keep clean.

I'm sure those of you who have shopped at Anthropologie stores have noticed that there are always candles burning and that the stores smell wonderful. Any Anthropologie you walk into has an iconic signature scent. It is no secret that the candle is Capri Blue Volcano. Volcano is an energizing blend of exotic citrus and sugary notes that include orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, and sandalwood.  Feeling like you're in a scented paradise doesn't have to include flying miles away.

Peonies, both herbaceous and tree form, are my favorite flowers. I so enjoyed Publix and Trader Joe's having gorgeous cut peonies in May and June. Unfortunately, peony season is now over. But I have found a way to extend the season in one lovely way.

I love the scent of gardenias and they grow beautifully in the garden here in South Florida. If you would like this scent for your home, I have found a wonderful collection that includes cleaning supplies, soaps, candles, and diffusers. Any of these would make wonderful Mother's Day gifts as well.

Tile Floors & More

This house is my first ever that is entirely tile and I love it. These floors are one of the reasons I bought the house. I have never been one to go barefoot, but I do now - it feels so cool and wonderful under my feet. Tile floors actually reduce heat and humidity in the house. And cleaning is a breeze - a quick vac with the cordless Dyson. Once a week I use the All Purpose Cleaning Concentrate from The Laundress that I am addicted to - the smell is amazing. "This fresh scent blends eucalyptus with notes of pine and hints of rose, lily of the valley, bergamot, ylang-ylang and thyme." You can use it everywhere and I do.

I am a big fan of their products in general. I personally find that beautiful cleaning tools and upscale cleaning products make cleaning more enjoyable, but then I love to clean my house. It's literally one of my favorite activities. Weird, I know. My dad especially brought us kids up to take great pride in our home and we were all taught how to care for everything in the home and it really rubbed off. I was a little tot polishing copper and silver! I think my dad would be proud of my home now. Thanks Dad.

And to the well intentioned commenter from a previous post that I should add area rugs, please stop, it ain't gonna happen. LOL.
