Fantastic $5/5 Minute Find

CCC

There are few things that bring me as much joy as having a home that I love. And part of that is maintaining it which requires great cleaning products. All my appliances are new and stainless steel and claim to be fingerprint free and to require just a dampened cloth to keep clean.

Chinoiserie in Strange Places

Gretchen Scott

OK, why does she have a large blue and white Chinese porcelain vase or ginger jar on her head? Very strange and disconcerting. LOL.

Pen Pals

Slobproof Touch-Up Paint Pen

I always use January to do home organization projects and get a head start on Spring cleaning. I recently discovered these paint touch - up pens and love them! A must for anyone who wants to keep their walls and trim in perfect condition with no fuss or mess.

My Favorite New "Toy"

PurSteam Therma Pro 211 Steam Mop 10 in 1

My floors at CCC are 100% tile including the lanai and front entrance. I have been thinking that wet mopping is just not cutting it and I have been reading about steam mops. I got one recently that checked all the boxes - great reviews, well priced, lightweight, attachments for multiple tasks, and super easy to use.

Silver, Florida, and Humidity

Flower Magazine

Now that my Christmas decorations are put away, I have turned my attention to other projects around CCC. One is polishing all of my silver. Isn't this floral arrangement by Molly Copa and Hattie Sloane of Flower Fetish in Austin gorgeous? A silver Champagne bucket makes a beautiful container. You can read how to create it here in the wonderful Flower Magazine.

Dust

CCC

When I did a post recently on a dramatic Amanda Lindroth stairwell with a collection of seashells and blue and white Chinese porcelain, someone commented questioning how one would dust it. I often get comments on dusting. I always find it interesting, because I never think about such things - I have no dust in my home here ever.
