This sunroom is stunning. Silver leaf chinoiserie wallpaper, a marble mantel, and a pair of bergère chairs in peridot from this vantage point.

The Chinoiserie Living Room

Meg Braff

This remains one of my favorite living rooms of all time - Meg Braff's living room in her home in Locust Valley on Long Island in New York. It reminds me of the grand living rooms of Mario Buatta, and indeed the gorgeous Coromandel screen shown below she found at a local estate once designed by Mario Buatta.

Classic Chinoiserie

Meg Braff - Veranda
A massive Coromandel screen, a Chinese gourd lamp, and a gilded faux bamboo bergere chair add Chinoiserie elements to this classic living room. I love the fringed yellow sofa as well.

Orange Chinoiserie

Honey Collins Interiors

I admit that I was not aways the hugest fan of orange in interior design, but I have grown to love it. This is a perfect example of how to use orange to add a fun and modern vibe to a room that still stays elegant and classic. A pair of orange lamps, a traditional bergere chair upholstered in a dramatic orange Chinoiserie Quadrille fabric, and a pair of cane and bamboo chairs lacquered in orange are all wonderful.

Black and Blue

via The Decorista
I love the pops of blue - the pair of gilded Bergere chairs upholstered in velvet, the oversized statement lamp, and the pair of large foo dogs.

Chinoiserie DIY

I really like how this formal Louis XV bergere chair finished in silver has been upholstered in a fun Chinoiserie fabric for a great mix. You can find it here or copy this idea yourself.
