Sunday Inspiration - Styling the Chinoiserie Console

From the very talented Jamie Meares of Furbish, inspiration on styling the Chinoiserie console. Love the red, white and blue, the blue and white Chinese porcelain, the chevron tray, and the Moroccan rug. I have been looking for a room with Chinoiserie and a Moroccan rug and here it is.

Sunday Inspiration

I'm crazy about this living room by Jamie Meares of Furbish from Lonny magazine. I especially love the use of color, the abstract modern art, the Chinese garden stools, the blue and white Chinese porcelain, the pink piping on the chairs, and the gold Harry Allen pig. These Harry Allen pig banks are multiplying at my house - I have one in gold, one in silver, gave one to my daughter in gold, and want another in pink. Are the ruffled curtains homage to Miles Redd? I have yet to embrace this look. I do love unlined curtains, but sans ruffles and in silk. Two rules here to follow - go BIG in art and in chandeliers for a wonderful sense of drama.
