Palm Beach Bauble Stockings

Limited Edition: Palm Beach Lately: Let's Shell-abrate

Bauble Stockings are a family tradition, where the final gift of Christmas, or a clue to it, is found in your Bauble Stocking. Bauble stockings are petite needlepoint stockings meant to be used to hold the final special Christmas gift. Perhaps a surprise trip, event tickets, an engagement ring, a check, a membership, a piece of jewelry, not necessarily the most expensive gift, but the most thoughtful and meaningful.

This tradition creates lasting memories, year after year. Each needlepoint Bauble Stocking is hand-stitched in Haiti for fair trade by a certified BCorp.

Sisters Beth Aschenbach and Danielle Norcross are the creative duo behind Palm Beach Lately, a lifestyle brand and blog that celebrates the beauty, charm, and modern elegance of coastal living. Known for their pastel palettes, timeless style, and artful eye for detail, they’ve become tastemakers in home décor, fashion, and entertaining.

Elegant Stocking Holder

Marble Stocking Holder

I posted last Christmas on very elegant marble stocking holders and followers loved them. Many of us do not want reindeer and angels and Santas competing with the rest of our mantel vignette.

A Coastal Christmas

Everything Turquoise

I am very excited to be decorating my Florida beach house this year with a coastal theme. It will be my own Palm Beach version of beachy, with lots of chinoiserie, blue and white, coral, and seashells. You need not have a beach house to embrace this coastal theme - it's a great look no matter where you call home. I have several posts planned over the next couple of weeks with great ideas and picks for a Coastal Christmas, so stay tuned.

Christmas Decorating Plans @ CCC

Amanda Lindroth

Now that Halloween is over, I have turned to my Christmas decorating plans at CCC.

I have a pair of the large wicker Amanda Lindroth pagodas pictured in the center. They are absolutely humongous - bigger than they look above - about three feet tall and a foot and a half wide. I decided I would love to decorate them for Christmas for my foyer.

Chinoiserie Christmas Stockings

Pinterest
I have been fortunate to find several Chinoiserie Christmas stockings over the years that I love using all over the house, not just on the mantel. Also a great DIY with leftover Chinoiserie fabric.

Chinoiserie Christmas Stockings DIY

One Kings Lane has on sale fantastic Christmas stockings in some of our favorite Chinoiserie fabrics and other favorite designer fabrics that go beautifully with Chinoiserie. These include Quadrille Java Java, Schumacher Nanjing, Schumacher Imperial Trellis, Brunschwig & Fils Les Touches, ikat, Cowtan & Tout Ocelot, and GP & J Baker Heron Lotus Flower. These would be a great DIY project if you have any remnants left over from another project. Sellers on eBay and Etsy are often selling samples and remnants.

Stockings can be used other places besides the fireplace mantel. They are wonderful adornment over the holidays draped over a chair back, an ottoman, a bench, or a bed or going up a staircase.

I am currently on the hunt for stocking hangers for my mantel that would go with my own growing collection of Chinoiserie Christmas stockings like Greek key, elephants, or foo dogs. No luck yet but I'll let you know if I find any.
