Serve in Champagne flutes as opposed to saucer style glasses as they preserve the bubbles much better. Chill the wine very well and keep in a Champagne bucket after opening. Champagne should be served as chilled as possible.
I love to serve it with warmed blinis with creme fraiche and salmon caviar (I just got them all at Whole Foods).
I decorate with lots of white roses and white pillar battery candles. I am addicted to Sirius XM in my car and at home and will play a station with the Great American Songbook like Siriusly Sinatra.

On New Year's Day I always have collard greens and black eyed peas to bring good fortune in the new year.
The following evening I am hosting my Paso Robles/Western wine tasting & pairing.
I am a complete cloth napkin addict of all shapes and sizes, but I have never understood the very small ones as pictured. I love the looks of them but are they just for putting under the glass? They are so tiny.
ReplyDeleteThey date back thousands of years to ancient China and tea napkins. They are an elegant alternative to coasters or paper versions. They go under any beverage.
