Large Watermelon Pink Artichoke Tulipiere |
I have several to share - these artichoke versions are very well priced and the perfect size (not too tall) to use as dining table centerpieces, on bedside tables, or side tables where a tall tulipiere will not work.
Find the large version here and the smaller one here. Here it is with white tulips.

This is a wonderful book I have on the fascinating history of the tulip, a flower that has driven men mad -
The Tulip by Anna Pavord |
Tulipieres look wonderful with not only tulips but with roses, carnations, daisies, cosmos, spring bulbs, and more. Mums would be a lovely choice for fall. Make sure you leave the stems long enough to reach the water reservoir at the bottom - obviously the top tier stems need to be the longest. Start at the top and work your way down.
Here are more artichoke tulipieres -

I have two white ones: one is obelisk and the other is short and flared...so lovely
ReplyDeleteI have a Blue/White Chinoiserie tulipiere - which I assume the CHINOISERIE Chickadee does too ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. In the 1600's tulips were highly coveted and consequently outrageously expensive, then the market collapsed. The author, Michael Pollan, writes about tulips, and other plants that have held considerable significance in our lives in his book, The Botany of Desire.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered the green one. I love it!
