With the Barbie movie and pink all the rage, I thought it would be fun to post a very sophisticated room featuring pink. This stunning dining room is by Amanda Lindroth. The pecky cypress–paneled dining room was designed around a set of early 19th-century Dufour wallpaper panels depicting Captain Cook’s voyages to the South Seas.
I love the coral pink chairs - my favorite pink for Florida.

Lots of white keeps this room very fresh, sophisticated, and beachy. The gorgeous white pineapple is a piece you can own yourself - I have it and it is one of my favorites. It is a vase - here Amanda uses it with bleached white palm fronds.
Here is a closeup of the gorgeous chandelier -

All of this wonderful inspiration and more can be found in Amanda Lindroth's book Island Hopping - it has become my favorite interior design book for inspiration for CCC for here in Florida.
The warning sirens that people rely on failed to activate - they are still investigating whether officials failed to activate them or whether there was a power failure from the winds and wildfires. So most people had no warning unless they got it from social media which reached a very small audience.
