I posted yesterday a stunning and very sophisticated pink dining room by Amanda Lindroth. The entryway above is from the same home. I love skirted tables, but you rarely see a skirted console table. This pink and white ikat one is wonderful. And pink combines so beautifully with blue and white Chinese porcelain.
The blue and white brushstroke lamps work so well with the grand blue and white ginger jars. Framed antique engravings of tropical plants, books, coral, and a potted orchid are all wonderful choices as is that dramatic mirror. The checkerboard floor is painted.

Speaking of brushstroke, are you like me where there are things you didn't buy that haunt you? Oscar de la Renta had these gorgeous brushstroke plates in his home collection about ten years ago. I didn't get them, and have been hunting for them ever since.

I remember reading many years ago "the only purchases you regret are the ones you don't make". Sadly, I have forgotten to whom to attribute it.
