Setting the Table with Style

La Corallina Placemats

I am a big fan of wood and cork placemats - I have quite a few sets. I love how easy they are -  no laundering and ironing like with cloth placemats and they are very durable. All they require is a quick wipe down. I think these are especially attractive and they are even on sale. These coral ones definitely have my name written all over them. This company is Italian - hence the names.

Thanks for all your concerns about the impending hurricane. My very first hurricane and it is a monster storm. I have decided to stick it out here in Venice - I hope I made the right decision. I will keep posting unless we lose power. Yikes!

  5. Love the bottom 3, so pretty. Hope you stay safe, it’s always difficult to decide whether to stay or go esp when the data keeps changing!

  6. The real issue will be flooding. Your home, I’m sure, is well built and you have window protections. Downed trees on homes and massive amounts of water are the concern. And because you are an organized person, I’m betting you have necessary supplies to last a good two weeks if need be.
Been through many, many a hurricane since the 60’s. It’s not fun and can be exhausting from all the work preparing and then clean up, but part of living in
    (usually) paradise. Be safe!!

    1. And buy one gallon of water per person (or pups!) per day. It’s the one emergency supply you can’t live without. Thinking of you!

  8. They are all very pretty.

I am so concerned about this hurricane. I have family in the Tampa/St. Pete area, and I'm very worried. In California we only have fires and earthquakes. God forbid that one should have to experience any of these disasters, but if I were forced to choose, I think I would take them over a hurricane any day. Please stay safe, Beth.
