A Blue and White Easter

Jenny Wolf Interiors - Country Living

This is such an elegant and easy floral arrangement for Easter, for Spring, or for any time of year for lovers of blue and white and chinoiserie. Create a tablescape with some of your blue and white Chinese porcelain. Here Jasperware Wedgwood (I have a collection) and blue and white books complete the blue and white table. A few stems of white hydrangeas make for a very simple but beautiful floral arrangement. Blue hydrangeas would also work very well. Another tip. I MUCH prefer tableskirts that are trimmed. Most dry cleaners can do this for you.

Cut the hydrangea stems at an angle under running water and immediately place in your ginger jar filled with cold water. Hydrangeas like cold water - add a few ice cubes to the water when you think of it. Hydrangeas form sap at the stem end very quickly preventing it from taking up water. If your hydrangea stem wilts, recut the stem end and immediately plunge into water.

Can you see the books on the table? These would all be wonderful additions to your library. Click on the captions to link.

  1. I would like to give another hint for hydrangeas
that has changed my ability to keep hydrangeas perky. When they start to will cut an inch off the stem and put them in boiling hot water...I promise you they will become full again.
