Pineapples for the Thanksgiving Table

CCC

Pineapples are a favorite motif of mine and I have many in my home. They have long been a symbol of welcome and hospitality and are so perfect for the Thanksgiving table. I have rounded up some favorites and some ideas.

Here is a great article on brass pineapples that includes the history of pineapples from Coastal Living.

Spray paint real pineapples gold for a gorgeous and cost effective centerpiece. Or spray paint miniature real pineapples gold and loop a gift tag around a leaf with each guest's name for beautiful place cards.

I am nuts about these wicker pineapple placemats - these would be fabulous.

BTW my favorite linen kitchen towels would make great dinner napkins in any of the colorways.

This Amanda Lindroth wicker pineapple is on my wish list and it's 25% off right now. This would be a great centerpiece.

I love this monogrammed nickel canister on sale -

For my Herend collection and for a very elegant touch - one at each place setting would be lovely -

This pineapple glassware is available in several styles and is very well priced. This identical glassware is on other websites for more than triple the price -

And a piece I love - this is a vase - I am imagining what flowers I would use in this. What would you use?

I  think purple mums would be really pretty for Thanksgiving.

I hope you've been inspired to add a pineapple element to your Thanksgiving table for an elegant and welcoming touch.

  1. The perfect Southern touch. I like everything pineapple, including eating them.
Each year I order miniature pineapples from Whole Foods, then fill up one of my large blue and white Chinese bowls. Place them on the foyer table and it's an instant oh and ah's as people come through the door. Three or four large pineapple if the small ones are not available.
Have to have my flower cornucopia on the dinner table.
Thank you Beth. Happy Thanksgiving. So like your postings, and your sometimes snippy remarks

  2. I bought one of the Pinaq pineapple liqueurs (white) that you had recommended in an earlier post. Fabulous! Delicious to drink and pretty display.
