My title is a bit tongue in cheek as we are under a tropical storm warning for the remnants of Hurricane Eta. So a rare cool rainy day or two here in paradise. It's 75 degrees as I type and a walker just passed in a down coat. LOL!
I found this lovely hurricane at HomeGoods on Friday. It has a gilded palm frond just like many in my backyard. Hurricanes are wonderful for candles, of course, but they also make great vases.

A happy and relaxing Sunday to everyone after a very long week. I for one am completely sleep deprived.
I need to plan a vacation just to go to your Home Goods! I am envious💚of all your amazing finds!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your inspiration!
Venice is a perfect vacation destination for a hundred reasons including my HG.
DeleteA French acquaintance here in central fla recommended Croissant&Co as the most authentic she had in years so we visited Venice...great quiche!
DeleteCroissant and Co is quite close to my house.
DeleteThat's a really pretty hurricane. It looks beautiful on your table!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love it.
DeleteThose are particularly good looking, wouldn't mind a couple. So useful in accessorizing.
ReplyDeleteI could imagine about a dozen or so lit up outside in the lanai. I could also imagine having a lanai, too.
Having a lanai is wonderful.
DeleteI suspect Amanda and Bunny [with their avid adherence to pairs] would highly recommend a return to HG for a second of these!
ReplyDeleteTru dat.
DeleteAny time I did not get a pair of something, I regretted it. Even if you don't use a pair it's nice to have it just in case you want that option down the road.
Perhaps you guys don't have HomeGoods where you live? It is not a department store. It is catch as catch can. Stores usually have one of an item. Had there been a pair, I would have gotten another. More often than not, with patience, another one pops up. This happened on this same shopping trip. I found a brass monkey a couple years ago and wanted a pair, and just now found a second.
Deletelove the monkeys!
ReplyDeleteThanks - they are vintage Chelsea House.
