Fantastic $5/5 Minute Find

CCC

There are few things that bring me as much joy as having a home that I love. And part of that is maintaining it which requires great cleaning products. All my appliances are new and stainless steel and claim to be fingerprint free and to require just a dampened cloth to keep clean.

Yeah, right.... not true. But I really am not a fan of spray stainless steel cleaners. Sort of messy. I have found these stainless steel wipes and they are amazing. They clean, polish, and protect. I can clean and polish all my appliances with one wipe in 5 minutes. And they look absolutely spotless and perfect. Literally perfection. They look better than the day I got them. Even more amazing is that I used it to clean and polish a twenty year old stainless steel sink and it looks new!

Weiman Stainless Steel Wipes

Then I buff/polish with my favorite cloths. I use these cloths to polish furniture, polish silver, polish brass, polish antique furniture, clean mirrors, dust, clean literally everything at CCC. They are the best cleaning cloths anywhere. Far better than microfiber. And what are they? Cotton baby diapers. You can launder them hundreds of times. They are so soft and lint free and so gentle. They get better each time you wash them. These are a secret of many antiques dealers and restorers.

Gerber 3 Ply Diapers - Pack of 10

And for those of you who have cleaning ladies/people - buy both of these for them to use.

Have a great weekend. I am hosting an Alsatian wine dinner tomorrow. Wonderful wines that should be on your radar screen if they are not already.

  1. I use these, Beth, and yes, they are terrific. I've never tried them on brass or silver, though. I have lots of old brass fixtures in my very old house. It's a constant struggle to keep up. I've tried everything, and so far what gives me the best results, believe it or not, is Lysol toilet bowl cleaner! I've been searching for a brass cleaner that works fast and does the job. I've heard that Priory Polish, which is made in Great Britain, is the best. I contacted them, but unfortunately, it is not available in the US.

    1. Just to clarify, the wipes are not for brass or silver. I use diapers with silver or brass polish as cleaning cloths.

  2. Agree about Weimans wipes. Thanks for the tip about the baby diapers. I struggle with brass fixtures because our water is so hard. And even the so-called polished brass looks terrible. So, I’m glad that other lady suggested what she uses. Thanks!
