1,000 Posts

Mariette Himes Gomez
Today marks 1,000 posts on Chinoiserie Chic. To celebrate, here is a collection of some of my favorite rooms and vignettes featuring pagodas. Please stop by today and leave a comment or shoot me an email to say hi and offer any suggestions or ideas you might have for CC. Thank you to all my loyal followers and thank you to all the interior designers who love Chinoiserie as I do for their continued and limitless inspiration. To those who said I would run out of posts with such a limited topic, here's to the next 1,000.

  5. Love your blog. I fell in love with chinoiserie when I was 7 yrs old and watched my mother decoupage a chest after painting it black. Little did I know that I would become an interior designer and become familiar with Gracie Studio etc. Thanks for my morning lift!

  7. The first thing I do every morning is wake up my computer and check your blog to see what delightful, inspiring tidbits you are offering. You give your readers so much, and from such a wide array of sources, that I wonder if you don't work all the time (except, of course, when you are out shopping for, and successfully finding, fabulous Chinoiserie treasures at a fraction of their usual price!). Of course, you probably do work at it all the time, because this is your passion, and it shows. I look forward to devouring your wonderful blog posts for many years to come. Thank you.

  8. Contratulations on your milestone post. As one who lives in Taiwan and practices what might be called the nightmare, Charles Addams version of Chinoiserie, thank you for reminding me constantly what the elegant version looks like.
