Love your blog. I fell in love with chinoiserie when I was 7 yrs old and watched my mother decoupage a chest after painting it black. Little did I know that I would become an interior designer and become familiar with Gracie Studio etc. Thanks for my morning lift!

Beth, you constantly feed my hunger for Chinoiserie design and I love every word and picture! This blog is FANTASTIC in every way. Thank you for the incredible commitment of time and resources you make to bring this to us every day! These pics today have me swooning! Do you think Ruthie Sommers will EVER do a book? Mary McDonald just brings me to my knees in worship and Meg Braff is not far behind as I devour every frame! Congratulations on your first 1,000 posts....here's to the NEXT 5K!!!! Love you!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I do every morning is wake up my computer and check your blog to see what delightful, inspiring tidbits you are offering. You give your readers so much, and from such a wide array of sources, that I wonder if you don't work all the time (except, of course, when you are out shopping for, and successfully finding, fabulous Chinoiserie treasures at a fraction of their usual price!). Of course, you probably do work at it all the time, because this is your passion, and it shows. I look forward to devouring your wonderful blog posts for many years to come. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteContratulations on your milestone post. As one who lives in Taiwan and practices what might be called the nightmare, Charles Addams version of Chinoiserie, thank you for reminding me constantly what the elegant version looks like.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You blogs are a constant source of inspiration to so many! PLEASE continue bringing us those fresh ideas, fabulous designers, and wonderful finds.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE the above mentioned designers, cannot wait for Mary McDonald's interview.....
THANK YOU for sharing your passion with us.
