Here is a roundup of my favorite Chinoiserie bedrooms. With some exceptions, I would say that the three things most have in common are gorgeous walls, most often papered in Chinoisierie, an important bed, more often than not canopy, and white bed linens. Do you have a favorite? My all time favorite is above-the iconic bird cage bedroom by the brilliant Miles Redd from Domino Magazine. Below, another Miles Redd, this time from Elle Decor.
Kendall Wilkinson in Traditional Home
Sara Story in Traditional Home
Ruthie Sommers in Domino Magazine
Charlotte Moss from Kips Bay
Tonin MacCallum from Kips Bay
The second and third image just have me. I love them!
ReplyDeleteG-They all make me weak at the knees.
ReplyDeleteOMG they are all fabulous, I love them all :-)

Fabulously French-Merci beaucoup.
ReplyDeleteSO pretty - that first one is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteSarah-It's a classic.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning. If only my husband would let me use wallpaper (he has a completely unjustifed hatred of it). I've convinced him to let me try it out in the powder room at the new place so fingers crossed he likes the end-result enough to let me go for broke in the bedroom!
ReplyDeleteAverill-I hope you have listened to the Battle of the Sexes on The Skirted Roundtable and read Joni on Cote de Texas on the same subject on her fan battle with her husband. Make sure to read my comment to Joni as well.
ReplyDeleteMiles gets my vote but I love Sara's use of a single tree behind the bed. I've been thinking of doing similar lately but mine will expand out a bit greater.
ReplyDeleteAlicia-I love both rooms, Sara's is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThese rooms are lovely, I cannot believe I just found this blog on alerts since we have many of the same favorites... good luck, it's really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBlushing Hostess-Thanks so much. I look forward to checking out your blogs.
