The Pedestal "Garden Stool"

Studio McGee Plaster Accent Table

The longer I live in Florida, the more I love using white in my home. I love color, but white, whether walls or furniture, is such a perfect backdrop for any and every color. The exterior of my home is white stucco, my walls in my home are white, and I am using more white accent pieces in my home.

Mixing Chinoiserie

James Farmer

Lots of chinoiserie patterns (and other patterns) are going on here, but it all works, doesn't it? And I am generally not a fan of colored lampshades, but these green are quite fresh and lovely used here. The wallpaper is Schumacher.

The Blue and White Dining Room

Bunny Williams

A lovely dining room with robin's egg blue walls and blue and white Chinese porcelain. Lots of warm browns keep it sophisticated. I love the idea of a large ginger jar (here a blue and white Chinese porcelain vase) on a pedestal. I had resisted doing it because I was living with a very clumsy person. No more! I can do this. I like the idea of a lucite one with a huge blue and white ginger jar. I should have grabbed one when Wisteria was going out of business. Darn.
