Palm Trees and Blue & White

Embellished Palms

Palm trees are what first made me fall in love with the beauty of Florida. I love all the palm trees in my garden and also use palm tree decor in my home. And I love pieces for my wardrobe embroidered with palm trees.

Cocktail Napkins for Mother's Day Gifting

Vintage Swimsuit Linen Cocktail Napkins

Does your mother love vintage things, pickleball, the beach, entertaining? These cocktail napkins would make great Mother's Day gifts. I have three different sets of these at CCC, and have given them as hostess gifts. They are made of elegant embroidered European linen and are beautifully done. I contacted them about possibly creating a blue and white ginger one.

Another Summer Classic

Cabana Dress in Linen

This dress checks all my summer boxes. 100% linen, pockets, lighter colors have slip lining, machine washable, available in several colors, and on sale.

This breezy style comes with a V neckline that shows a hint of skin, a removable tie at the waist for a cinched-in effect and gathered details along the collar and cuffs. Plus, it's crafted from lightweight 100 percent linen to keep you cool all day long. This is a great vacation dress, transitioning from beach days to dinners out. And it is available in classic, petite and tall with expanded sizing.

Easy Dressing

Bungalow Maxi Popover Dress in Black Dot Linen

I posted last week on the J.Crew Bungalow Linen Popover dress in the short version that I love. It is also available in this maxi version. I am crazy about maxi dresses. They are such a classic - they became popular in the 1970s and have become a staple in women's wardrobes. They are versatile, flattering, comfortable, and can be dressed up or down.

Favorite Finds

CCC

You know how well stripes and chinoiserie go together = pretty much a marriage made in heaven. I discovered some gorgeous 100% European linen Canadian made towels that I use as guest towels in the bathrooms, dinner napkins, kitchen towels, bar towels, pretty much everywhere! I love setting the table with one of my chinoiserie china patterns, bamboo flatware, and these as napkins. They look amazing with my new gold bamboo flatware.

Understated Chinoiserie

I have wonderful new clients whose home I am working on right now. Their taste combines English and Chinoiserie with a very understated and elegant palette of grays and taupes and blues.

One thing we are considering is where to use this wonderful linen toile from Bennison called Chinese Toile. It is the epitome of the feel we are trying to create, I think. Here it is below on the right in the dining room of Nancy Meyers of Something's Gotta Give fame.

Here it is again used in a blue and white bedroom.
