 A stunning but to me rare space by Mario Buatta in that it is largely black and white sans his usual color. The painted wood floors are wonderful. I am a sucker for a black and white checkerboard floor. This is the Charleston home of Patricia Altschul.

A busy day yesterday at CCC. I had three gardeners here pruning all my hedges. Then my tile guys stopped by to look at the job - I have decided to have my front entryway tiled as well as the lanai.

Another room in this fabulous Palm Beach home I posted about yesterday. The foyer has a favorite wallpaper of mine - Chinese Lattice in Emerald/White by Bob Collins & Sons. A vintage shell encrusted table from 1st dibs is topped with a massive blue and white pagoda, blue and white Chinese porcelain cachepots, and a clamshell filled with lemons. Recall my post a couple months back when I got one of these clamshells for my lanai? This is lots of fun. (BTW, the table seems to like to change rooms - see yesterday's post.)

In the breezeway of this Palm Beach home, Jonathan Adler used canvas palms by The Canvas Nursery set into Frontgate planters. The shell table is from 1st dibs with a blue and white Chinese porcelain vase. Lanterns are from Colleen & Company. The black and white checkerboard floor is hand painted. Update - I just discovered that The Canvas Nursery is located about an hour away from me. I think this canvas palm in the apartment of Rebecca de Ravenel may be from them too.
