Remove lily stamens (the orange pollen-producing anthers) as soon as the bloom opens to prevent messy, staining pollen from falling on petals or surfaces, which also extends the vase life of the flowers. Gently pull or pinch off the orange tips using a tissue, or snip them with scissors, keeping the flower upright to avoid spreading dust. Do not use your fingers as they will stain your skin.
