Happy Derby! My event last night was great. I have another Kentucky Derby party tonight. Another hat! My money is on Journalism to win but keep your eyes on a horse that was just added when another horse scratched - Baeza in the 20th post position.

A bit of horse racing trivia. Did you know that all thoroughbreds are "born" on January 1st? This universal birthday is a convention the racing industry uses to classify horses by age for eligibly in a race. For example, all Kentucky Derby horses must be 3 years old so any horse born in 2022 is considered to have been born on January 1, 2022.
