This tropical storm now Hurricane Debby was far worse than anything I have experienced except for Hurricane Ian that was a category 5 hurricane. Heavy rain, wind, thunder, and lightning nonstop hour after hour with some places experiencing storm surge and flooding. And did I mention my phone going off nonstop with tornado alerts? The tornado alerts continued all night and will apparently continue all day. Lots of water rescues going on. And it is all still continuing on the backside of the storm. No problems here at CCC thankfully, but it just been a very long couple of days. I am exhausted as are the pups. Stay safe. This storm is going to stall out and dump a ton of rain over the Southeast this week. Some places could get 30" of rain!

ReplyDeleteI love wicker and raffia too, and have a few wicker and raffia earrings and handbags. I still remember Ralph Lauren's Watch Hill furniture collection of gorgeous blue and white several years ago. Just stunning. So romantic and ethereal, but everything he does is fabulous, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI have family in the Tampa/St. Pete area and they told me how very rainy it is. My weather app said there would be a possible storm surge. I'm a Californian, so we don't experience tropical storms and hurricanes here, just earthquakes and fires! Stay safe and dry, Beth. This has to be challenging for you and everyone in FL. Glad to hear you are safe. Hope your pups do not get too stressed out.
So glad you and the pups are safe. Having lived through hurricanes and tornadoes I know how frightening it is.
