The Palm Beach Front Door

Coral Door with Palm Tree Door Knocker

I found this picture and thought it would be fun to figure out how to recreate it. Alas, my home has double white French front doors that I love, so this would not work at CCC, but maybe one of you will be inspired.

I think this beautiful Benjamin Moore paint color looks very close. I would use a glossy finish.

And I found the same door knocker. It is available in a brass or nickel finish.

It is also available in a doorbell. Notice anything odd about this photo below?

(The answer is a doorbell should be placed to the right of the door because most people are right-handed).

These are just too fabulous! I am ordering one of these doorbells in nickel to match my hardware on my front doors.

  1. It would be fun to have a pink front door. But I live in an historic district, and it would not be permitted!

    1. Having lived in Alexandria, Virginia for decades with some of the oldest homes in the country, many pinks are actually historically correct colors.

  2. My HOA would also nix any color other than white for our condo. We have a door that connects our kitchen to the garage. The garage side of the door is destined to be painted a happy orange!

  3. I just painted my front door BM Claret and it really pops! I have a Micheal Healy Fleur de Lis door knocker and I just love it. Our ring doorbell is to the left of our door because that's where the builder put it. Works great for seeing who's at the door.

  5. I just love this! It would make me very happy to come home to this front door. I love pink anyway, and I love this pink, and the palm tree door bell makes it perfect, but a pink door would not work on my house. Light blue would though. In fact my house trim is light blue. I agree, I would use a glossier finish on the door too. Awesome post, Beth.

I'm trying to catch up on your recent posts, as I've been caring for a family member who is now a dependent adult. It's all consuming, and is the hardest job I have ever had.
