This wonderful blue and white bedroom is from the 2020 Kips Bay Show House Palm Beach done by Alessandra Branca.
"Inspired by traditional Portuguese azulejos tiles, Alessandra Branca decorated the master bedroom with hand-painted wallpaper from her line for De Gournay that mimics the patterns the tiles create (and their distinctive turquoise blue coloring). 'I thought it would give architecture to a room that is otherwise quite simple,' she says. 'The whole goal of a master bedroom is for it to be open, fresh, light, and soothing.' The trompe l'oeil effect gives the impression of elaborate doorframes and rococo wainscoting. Branca added a tray ceiling, and furnished the room with a vintage bed and pieces from her namesake line, Casa Branca, decorated with trims by Fabricut." Architectural Digest
There is so much inspiration in this wonderful room. My favorite elements are the stunning blue and white canopy bed and the flame stitch canopy and bolster.
