This wonderful breakfast room is in Liz Lange's beautiful restoration of the iconic East Hampton home Grey Gardens.
"In the breakfast room, Mark D. Sikes composed a symphony of soothing blues. The rattan chairs (Soane Britain) are painted Lulworth Blue, while the custom china hutch is Cook’s Blue, both by Farrow & Ball. The floor color is Harbor Fog by Benjamin Moore." (Veranda)

Note how the furniture, both wood and wicker, is painted various shades of blue. (Except for the table). A nice change from the usual natural or white painted wood and wicker.
If you'd like furniture that is Chinoiserie Chic and already painted blue, here are some gorgeous choices for an entryway, breakfast room, breakfast bar, or dining room.
Absolute swoon! The colors! That china cabinet. Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI have two of the Dayna armchairs in black. They've worn very well. I'd definitely buy them again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room, crazy about the curtains and matching wall panels. Glad to see MS has moved on from the usual gingham he likes to do.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderfully gorgeous room. I love everything about it. I think I saw this article about Grey Gardens in the recent issue of either Flower Magazine or Veranda.
