Peachy Keen

MADRE Dallas

I love this living room with its peach or coral or apricot walls, purple flocked skirted chairs on a yellow and blue rug, a pink tufted ottoman with white fringe trim, a black Klismos coffee table, a pair of canvas palm trees, a blue couch with pink and blue pillows and an antique glass mirror over the fireplace. A very Palm Beach, Hollywood Regency, Mario Buatta vibe. Mario Buatta loved this paint color.

I came across these darling fringe ottomans that would be wonderful under a console table, flanking an entryway table, or at the end of a bed. Great singly or as a pair. Use one in a powder room for hand towels or in the bathroom for your bath towel. They are available in linen or velvet.

The palm tree candlesticks on the mantel are a chic choice - here is a great option.

  1. I've been coveting CK's Parasol lamp but the price is insane...for what it is. Still like it, anything close enough is not "close enough". And so it goes.

    1. I found two of the Lilian August floor lamp versions at HomeGoods for $100.00 each. My daughter found two of the table lamps and two of the floor lamps. I have seen both the Celerie Kemble and Lilian August in person and everything looks the same to me quality wise and they are the same size. The Celerie Kemble shade is a tad wider and the shade has a brass band at the top. If that is worth $1,000 each as opposed to $100 each, that's a personal call. The Lilian August are selling for many times their original price on eBay and such, so we were lucky to snag them.

    2. I was inspired by your shopping - once again - and snapped up the last pair they had on sale of Lillian August table lamps online at of all places TJMaxx. Yes there were several offerings on eBay that were more affordable than the Celerie Kemble versions but they were at $300 each on up. Mine were $160 for the pair. I doubt more will surface, though, but you never know.

    3. T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods are the same family of brands of course. You got a great deal and will love them.

  2. I love this color too. I think it casts a wonderful glow. No wonder Mario loved it. What a fun and pretty room that is. I love to window shop Madre's site.

  3. The porcelain vases on the console table were purchased from my studio in Dallas. I think they are perfectly placed in this stunning living room.

    1. I'm sure they are lovely, but hard to see in this picture unfortunately.

  4. I love everything about that beautiful living room! And I just painted my guest bedroom a similar colour.
