I love the idea of going old school, sitting in my lanai in one of my caftans, sipping a glass of Sancerre, and fanning myself with one of these gorgeous hand fans. These fans are handmade by Columbian artisans and each one is unique.
Did you know that Sancerre was a favorite wine of Ernest Hemingway? It is a crisp, dry white, perfect with oysters. It was a cheap table wine in Hemingway's days, but has gotten a bit pricey.

Back to the hand fans, here are more in the collection. I am trying to decide on one. It would be lovely to stick in my handbag (I always carry large straw bags so I can fit anything) for outdoor dining at restaurants when it is a bit warm. I love Sancerre, and large summer totes too. I've only recently discovered Sancerre, as I was never much of a wine drinker. Is Christian Salmon your favorite? I love the straw bags that Nannacay and Indego Africa have.
