This entryway is all ready for Christmas without a single decoration. Red and green is not a color combination I would think of outside of Christmas decorating, but I am quite drawn to this foyer with its green walls and sisal runner bound in red. The green and red is repeated in the skirted console.
Here is more wonderful red and green inspiration. Red and green works very well with chinoiserie as you can see.

I usually stay away from red in my holiday decorating. But this year, I am adding some pops of red. Red works much better in this house with my neutral walls and floors. I will post photos once I decorate.
That Beverly Field room is spectacular. I mean really great. But all of the rooms show a sophisticated blending of shades of green and red. None scream Christmas. I could easily be happy in any of them, all-year-round.

ReplyDeleteI have navy blue and blush pink velvet sofas and love them. I love the green velvet.
DeleteLove that very ornate red mirror in Larry Hooke's dining room, and the red silk shades on Miles's chandelier. I could easily snuggle into Beverly's living room sofa, hang out there all day, and acquaint myself with her library.
