Fuchsia & Apricot

Gary McBournie - Veranda

I love the color palette of this breakfast banquette space in a Victorian London townhouse. The fruit watercolors are 19th century Chinese. The banquette is covered in a fuchsia and orange ikat by Manuel Canovas called Boheme in colorway Rose and Orange. Ikat and chinoiserie is a wonderful combination as is pink and orange.

I have gathered some great pink and orange inspiration. Some have links to add a pop of this great combination to your home or wardrobe, others are eye candy.

  1. Great post today, Beth! I love orange and pink together too. That parrot tulip is gorgeous and I also like the front door! A bold choice - I wonder what color the house is. My front door is coral and my house is dark gray and I love the combination .

    1. I take it you are not in a gated community - LOL. I did Google the door but there is not a picture I could find of the house.

  5. I have been a "blue" girl all of my life, but recently this color combo has been calling to me! I read somewhere - related to Jackie Kennedy's trip to India - that hot pink is the navy blue of India. Isn't that a wonderful thought?!

  6. Those Chinese watercolors are just fabulous. Actually pinks and corals are perhaps my two favorite colors, and I love color. Everything from the softest whisper of pink to fuchsia, and everything from the softest apricot to Hermes orange.
