Living in Color

Estelle Stem Wineglasses

I have never been especially excited by glassware. That has changed. I was recently introduced to Estelle Colored Glass and I am completely smitten and have now started a collection. Especially now that I have freed myself from a man-child who broke literally everything in his path. The woman founder and owner of Estelle named the company after her grandmother who loved entertaining and antiquing and collecting colored glass.

Estelle Cake Stands

These heirloom pieces are designed in Charleston, South Carolina and blown by hand in Poland by artisans. I think the colors are stunning. They have a luminescent quality that is hard to describe but gorgeous. They elevate setting the table to another level with all the color options. This woman owned company went from obscurity to fame during the pandemic with more dining (and alcohol consumption) at home.

The collection includes stemless wineglasses, stem wineglasses, Champagne coupes, decanters, and cake stands. The problem is picking a color - they are all too gorgeous and really perfect for mixing and matching.

This is the "it" glassware that modern brides are registering for.

Let me know your favorites. I have the blush pink stemmed and cobalt blue stemless to date.

These are a game changer for me. Glassware was not a focal point for me, and now it is. Think of all the options with a blue and white table setting for example - blush pink, mint green, lavender, cobalt blue....

  1. This is a beautiful line and the story behind it is wonderful. I heard about the company a year or so ago when attention was being focused on black owned businesses and this was one that was highlighted.
My favorite colors are the pinks and greens and I especially like the cake stands and stemless glasses. They remind me of my childhood as my parents always incorporated colored glass into our home.
    Thank you Beth!

    1. Yes, they have a vintage vibe that is wonderful. They remind me of my grandmother's house. I think the mint green will be my next addition.

  3. I have a set of Estelle's mint green wine glasses and really enjoy setting the table around these glasses. I use mine everyday and wash by hand.

  6. Be still my beating heart! Wow, the whole line is stunning and how would you ever decide on a color? I think one needs several colors to, as you said, mix and match. What a beautiful table setting they would make.
