This is a favorite room of mine, my office. It is the girliest office imaginable, which is perfect for me. A blush pink velvet sofa, a red leather Mary McDonald campaign chair, a gold leaf zebra rug, and two built in bookcases with desks anchor the space. I have converted one of the desks into a mini bar.
The color palette is pink and red, a favorite combination of mine. Enjoy the tour.

I love it,I can imagine never leaving the room. You did a wonderful job,so much to look at and admire,it is always in the details.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I really do love my home.
DeleteLove your pink couch and the nuns!
ReplyDeleteThanks - two of my faves too.
DeleteOh, what fun!! Every detail is a delight. (And a rug??!! Your troll will have to take a day off - ha!)
ReplyDeleteI know - hysterical. I had the rug in my office in Alexandria and love it, so decided to use it here. Maybe it will shut the person up - LOL.
DeleteLove CCC!!!!! Your lovely home is delightful and inspirational. Would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to Airbnb a room!!??
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. Love the Airbnb idea.
DeleteThis is my favorite room in your house so far, very warm.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, and wow. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the couch. If this were my house, I'd put the couch in front of the windows just so I could see it everytime I walked by the office. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI thought about that, but the windows are quite low and I have a thing about furniture blocking windows.
DeleteBeautiful room! Can you share the wall color? Lovely neutral. Especially love the pink patent book bindings.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The wall color is Benjamin Moore Classic Gray. It is a very light gray and a perfect neutral.
DeleteIt’s so you! Fun, colorful, interesting, beautiful and pure perfection! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind - thank you.
DeleteSo pretty. I especially love the windowed French doors leading into the office. They really beckon you to come in. I always think that one thing that makes a house or dwelling so inviting is the flow, or the way that one room leads into another. Love the colors in the Beverly Sills/Lincoln Center picture.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The French doors are very dramatic too because of their height. The Lincoln Center silkscreen is a favorite of mine - I have one other. They are limited editions and have become quite valuable.
DeleteBeth, this may be my very favorite room in your house. Everything about it is perfect, and so you! I especially love that photo of the nuns taking a smoke break. I've seen that photo before and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. You have a great sense of humor! I'm wondering if it's your screen saver for your Samsung Frame?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I actually have the art subscription for my Samsung Frame and love it. I change it out all the time.
Deletelove the pink books. Are they patent leather, painted, or ceramic. So cute
ReplyDeleteThey are real patent leather. I also have them in red and in blue.
DeleteWhat a lovely office. That photos of the nuns!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love that vintage photo - such a hoot.
DeleteJust fantastical. I covet almost everything. The ones I don't, is because I have them.
ReplyDeleteHow come we never met in Alexandria? I was there 13 years and you lived just around the corner.
Keep keeping me happy with all your sensational you. See you in Annapolis.
Thank you. Where were you in Alexandria and where are you now?
DeleteYour office is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
DeleteEvery room you decorate is fantastic , but this may be the best one yet!
ReplyDeleteLove your sure touch mixing colors and accessories.
