The Blue and White Chinoiserie Bathroom

Shelley Johnstone Design

I am a huge fan of Shelley Johnstone and she lives and is based in my hometown of Lake Forest, Illinois. I love a white bathroom, but it can look a bit sterile. Blue and white Chinese porcelain is such a great way to soften it up. Other wonderful touches include the bubble chandelier and grotto chair and the touches of green in the chair cushion, towel monogram, and fresh flowers. Note the great storage for towels. I have always folded my towels and for some reason I roll them now just like this. I have no idea why I changed, but I like it. And brass fixtures on the tub and a sprayer - such a great idea.

  3. Just lovely…can’t go wrong with all white. So versatile and timeless. You can make it serene or jazz it up whit vibrant wallpaper, lighting and accessories. And change your mind easily and inexpensively when the spirit moves you. It will always be my favorite choice when starting from scratch or renovating.

    1. The blue and white Chinese porcelain warms up what would be a very sterile space.
